Hello, fellow pseudopods,
We’ve gotten a lot of feedback about the game over the intervening months, and one thing that keeps on being brought up is that people are bummed that they missed out on getting the shoggoth miniature from the Kickstarter. Well, we have some good news! We’re working again with Jason McKittrick of Cryptocurium, who is now actively working on a new mini! We’re calling it the “shoggoth mini mini”, as this little fellow will be smaller than the original; about the diameter of the metal turn counter. It’ll be hand painted, and only run you a measly $10 (plus shipping).
When it’s available for purchase here, we’ll let you know. But for now, we’ll tease you with this photo of the prototype:
Also, there are rumblings in the Studio about work being done on the first Feed the Shoggoth! expansion, with a Kickstarter to follow. We’ll let you know more as things develop…
Greetings, fellow pseudopods,
In light of the holiday season, what with Yithmass quickly approaching and all, we thought it would be a great idea to launch a sale of Feed the Shoggoth!. Yes, for the entire month of December, you’ll get $5 off your copy. In fact, each copy you purchase will get the discount. Normally $20, FtS! will run you just $15 with this coupon code:
shoggydec16
When you proceed to the checkout page, you’ll see a field to enter in the coupon code. Just drop it in there, and you’ll be good to go! FtS! will make a great stocking stuffer…but since Shoggoths leave a bit of a trail of slime, you may want to wash that stocking after. Or just set it on fire.
Hello, fellow pseudopods,
Just a quick note that I’ve added another (very positive!) review to the Reviews section; it actually came out in late October, but I only discovered it a few days ago. Thanks to The Lovecraft eZine for the kudos!
Greetings, fellow pseudopods,
We’re happy to announce that we have now made the official Feed the Shoggoth! turn counter available here at our webstore! The counter was originally made as part of the FtS! Kickstarter, but we have some leftover stock that we’re now making available for general purchase. Just click on the Shop button, and you can order it there.
In addition, we’re working again with Jason McKittrick of Cryptocurium fame to bring you a brand new Shoggoth mini! This little guy will be smaller than the original that was part of the KS (the original will remain a one time only thing), and should retail for about $10 plus shipping. When we have more news on that, we’ll post it here, but expect it to be available in a couple of months or so.
And finally, work is underway on our first expansion to Feed the Shoggoth!. It’ll feature brand new Spells, Artifacts…even Actions and Minion cards! In fact, we’ve got so many designs coming up that we may have to split these into two releases…but we’ll see. 🙂
As always, thanks for your support!
Hello, fellow pseudopods,
There’s a number of little tidbits of news to catch everyone up on. Starting with:
That about does it for now!
Hello, fellow pseudopods,
We’re very excited to announce that Feed the Shoggoth! will be making an appearance this weekend at the SF ComicCon. Longtime supporters Games of Berkeley has been tapped to run the gaming portion of the convention, and they will once again be featuring home grown board and card games.
We’ll be running demos of FtS! tomorrow and Saturday, noon to 4pm. And we’ll be having a special sale; 20% off all copies of the game! You can find us in Sierra J (wherever that is…).
More information about the con can be found on their website.
Hey everyone,
First, we’re happy to announce that Feed the Shoggoth! is in two more stores- Shall We Play Games in Las Vegas, and Snydepels in Denmark!
Second, we’ll be running a demo of FtS! at Heretic Games in San Bruno, this Saturday from noon to 4. Come on down to say hi and give the game a spin.
Heretic Games is located here. See you then!
Just a small note that Feed the Shoggoth! will (or should be shortly, as soon as the shipment arrives) be available at Tyche’s Games in Athens, Georgia. You can find more information on their store at the How to Buy page.
Also, we’re about to make our first foray into the overseas brick and mortar market! I’ll post more about this soon, but let me say now that it’ll be so cool to have FtS! for sale in Denmark. 😀 I’m hoping this will be the first of many, as i’ve been getting a lot of requests from the UK for the game.
It’s been out for a little while now, but it’s still definitely worthy of posting here. The website Board Game Quest posted a review of Feed the Shoggoth! in late April. Here’s a snippet of what they had to say:
The two main strengths of Feed the Shoggoth! are the replay value and the Shoggoth card. The huge variety of the Faction, Spell, and Artifact cards help make each game experience different each time you play. You will find that the Spell and Artifact cards have a few repeated cards, but for the most part, especially with the Artifacts, all are almost completely unique. Having a different game experience is ideal for replay.
You can read the entire review by checking out this page on Board Game Quest’s site.
